How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets have always been a favourite food to eat for breakfast. But how do they turn out so perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

First, eggs can be very temperamental ingredients for making omelets. Eggs must be purchased fresh, preferably organic, and kept chilled until ready for cooking. You must keep them cool enough to allow the whites to form properly and the yolks to become too runny if they're not kept at the right temperature. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. It is best to use room-temperature eggs if you are going to cook them right away.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. Because this could cause your omelet to become curdled, you don't want any yolk to be mixed with any white.

The bottom part of an egg that is added directly to the stovetop might be burned, which could cause a ruined texture in your omelet. Instead, microwave the egg for 10 seconds before adding it to the pan. The microwave heat is sufficient to cook the egg without overcooking.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. Mix eggs well together. To do this, take the bowl from the mixer and flip it upside-down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. This way, the air inside the bowl gets whipped around and mixes the egg thoroughly.

The fun part is now - adding the milk to the mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. Add 1/4 cup butter to the oil and swirl it around to coat all sides of the pan. Carefully open the pan's lid and add salt to the pan. The salt will help to prevent the omelet's sticking to the pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Flip the omelet upside down or with a spatula. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
